Audition

01. All members are expected to adhere to responsibilities and deadlines

Sekai no Melody is for the most part not time consuming unless we’re working on a huge project like an anniversary or Xmas album. Because of this, you are expected to turn in your recordings on time unless there is an emergency. “Emergency” refers to things like deaths of friends/family, extreme illness, parental punishment, etc. Reiterative excuses of “I am busy with school” or “a lot of drama is going on in my life” are not legit reasons to disappear for long periods at a time. (We are, however, flexible to work around schedules and grant extentions if absolutely necessary.)

02. Remain mature and professional at all times

Please do not bring “drama” or outside problems into SnM. Although we are not truly “professional”, we are still an organized group, and upon joining you agree to do your best despite any problems, thus stating that you have the ability to be responsible. Everyone relies on each other to make it work, so please, for the sake of the organization as a whole, keep a mature attitude.

03. Keep a positive and friendly attitude

It’s not your voice I’m worried about, but your attitude. We would rather work with a very nice girl who doesn’t have a good voice than a snobbish girl who has the voice of an angel. Attitude counts!

04. We’re open to everyone and anyone!

That’s right; everyone is guaranteed a spot at Sekai no Melody! As long as you fill out the audition form during an open audition period and send a clip of you singing, you’re in. The sound sample will be used to determine which group you fit best in, NOT your qualifications for entry. However, do not let this easy acceptance deceive you; you are still held accountable for the responsibilities you are agreeing to when you send the form below!

05. Be an active and involved member

Once you have received your acceptance e-mail, please head to the Member’s Area to read up on some of the procedures and important information that all members should know, head to the forum to meet your fellow members, and get started working on some releases!

Scheduled Audition Times

You’ve got three times in which you may “audition” for SnM. Again, anyone who fills out a form during these times will be accepted; it’s not a contest. There are a limited number of positions in each generation, but if you don’t get in then you will be placed into the Trainee group.

Read all of the rules and ready to submit your audition form? Please fill out all the fields; you may upload your voice clip to free hosting sites such as Mediafire, Sendspace, or YouSendIt. Try to keep it mp3, ogg, wav, or wma. You may sing with or without backing music, but be sure to choose a song that shows off your vocal quality, range, and ability to do harmonies if applicable since your audition song is the determining factor in which group you are placed into.

** By “range”, I am referring to voice part, i.e. soprano, mezzo, alto, tenor, etc. If you don’t know, write “unsure”.
